hello! Here you'll see the process of finishing sculpting my sperm whale design and making a silicone mold for it. This mold allowed me to make casts or the whale. I am using MonsterClay to sculpt the whale and platinum silicone by Feroca Spain. Come take a look at my latest sketchbook, the one where I write and sketch in my ideas. It isnt' the prettiest sketchbook you will see - I don't make finished drawings or paintings here. Instead, I doodle in all simplicity my thoughts. I still revisit this sketchbook often in search for inspiration and ideas. It has travelled in my backpack for a good part of 2022. In 2018, I took at trip to the Arctic with my two best friends in hope to accomplish the everlasting dream of seeing the northen lights. The aurora those days was so strong that we read on the news solar radiation had knocked a satellite off. We were incredibly lucky and this was a trip I will never forget. All the whales I've sculpted ever since are a way to bring my thoughts back to that place, trying to capture once again the beauty and stillness of the Arctic.
